On-line book study: Radical Management by Stephen Denning

Denning discusses the seven principles of Radical Management. "Remarkably, the return on assets for U.S. firms has steadily fallen to almost one quarter of 1965 levels.... very few (workers) (20 percent) are passionate about their jobs... executive turnover is increasing. Book Study "Back to Work" by Bill Clinton Saturday January 7th

"Back to Work". We will meet at 10:30 a.m. The Tii Cup is located at
66th and Nicollet in the NE corner of the intersection. It has a great
selection of teas including bubble tea.
If you haven't read the book come if you are interested anyway. Books
spark great discussions. For example:
Clinton poses this question at the beginning of the book. "How do we
propose to restore and maintain the American Dream at home?" How would
you answer this question?
Gift Wrapping update 2012
Submitted by sara on Sat, 2009-12-05 07:13Thank you to all the volunteers who put in 89 hours of volunteer time to gift wrap at Barnes and Noble at the Galleria. We raised 1142.00 which was 42% above our goal of $800. This is enough to fund one Loaves and
Fishes site for the year. This makes a great start for the Angel's Wings program for 2012. We hope to add another Loaves and Fishes site this year.

Faith of the American Soldier
Submitted by sara on Wed, 2007-09-19 09:59I have just finished listening to the book Faith of the American Soldier. I checked the book out at the Minneapolis Public Library. It gives a great look into the faith life of soldiers serving in Iraq. These young men and women face a daily life that is unimaginable for most of us. They must do a very difficult job in a highly stressful enviroment. They are very limited culturally (no alchohol, no dating locals) There will not be any "war brides" like WWII in this war. Many have turned to faith to help them make sense of the enviromnent they are living in and the job they are doing.
Garage Sale Update
